Klingons, my least favorite Star Trek aliens, are known for saying Today is a good day to die. June 26, 2019 was a good day to be a Democrat in the United States.
During the Candidates' Debate of the 26th, folks like Mayor of New York Bill DiBlasio, who'd previously been largely unknown, had the opportunity not only to introduce themselves but to affirm progressive policies and positions. Julian Castro, formerly a member of the Obama Cabinet, suggested a significant change in dealing with the surge of immigrants from Central America entering the U. S. Elizabeth Warren, in a wry play on what's become a rubric of her campaign, acknowledged that she feels she has a plan for everything.
And then, of course, there's a new Democratic candidate - former-employer-of-Bodhi-Mickie Joe Sestak....
